There were some classy waves on the East Coast yesterday, particularly south of Sydney. This little set up was doing a pretty fair impersonation of Periscopes in Sumatra. We will have a comprehensive East Coast Meltdown Lowdown feature up late today or early tomorrow

There is a peaky new 3-4ft ENE swell in the water affecting much of the East Coast this morning. Here’s a quick snapshot of a rarely surfed spot Sth of Sydney. Check our cams, reports and forecasts today. Should be some fun waves about in NSW

Aloha. Here's a postcard from Sunset Beach Hawaii last week. At the moment
it is being battered by strong trades and horizontal rain (much like the
East Coast of Aus right now)

There were no real waves worth raving about anywhere in Aus on the weekend. Down Sth in WA was the pick at 3ft and cross/offshore. Hawaii on the other hand was pumping. Look out for a fresh Hawaiian feature today

Lightning Bolts light up the Narrabeen sky on Friday evening. The age old myth that storms bring swell was once again proved wrong. Sat was smaller than Friday in Sydney. Electrical storms have no impact on swell patterns unless of course accompanied by wind and low pressure systems

There is an air of optimism on The Rock. A solid early season west swell produced some memorable Pipe pits yesterday. Suss our Hawaiian journal for regular updates. Anthony Walsh slotted on a beautiful Pipeline wave yesterday

13th Beach in Victoria has been pumping for days under the influence of a big high pressure system and warm northerly winds. There are still some fun waves around today ahead of a late Sth change. This is the perfect A-frame we all drew on our pencil case at school. 13th perfection on Tuesday. Look out for a Meltdown later.

The Pass breaking for hundreds of metres in November is unusual. It was possible to get slotted half a dozen times per wave as the bank was near flawless from way outside Spectators all the way down to Clarkes Beach yesterday.

The first rays shine through the valley lighting up a tasty, empty A–frame in South West WA yesterday morning. Keep your eye out for the first entry in our 2008/09 Hawaiian Swell Journal later today

The SSE swell that lit up the East Coast last Thursday November 6 was one of the best days this spring. Check Coastalwatch later today for photo and video highlights covering 1500 Km’s of coastline from SE Qld right down to southern NSW.
